Regardless of your handicap, you’ll find The Broadmoor’s golf courses challenging and enjoyable, with tee markers of varying lengths on all courses. Don’t let the stunning mountain views distract you — the golf courses look like a postcard, but offer a demanding and rewarding round of golf.

East Course

When completed in 1918, The Broadmoor’s East Course was the highest altitude golf course in the United States, at 6,400 feet in elevation. The East Course has been home to many major tournaments, including the 1959 U.S. Amateur, which was Jack Nicklaus’ first major win; the 1967 U.S. Amateur; and the 1995 U.S. Women’s Open, which was Annika Sorenstam’s first major title. Most recently, the famous course served as host to the 2008 U.S. Senior Open and the 2011 U.S. Women’s Open Championship.

West Course

Get ready for rolling fairways, multilevel greens and demanding hazards at the stunning yet formidable West Course. At 6,800 feet, this 18-hole course has more doglegs and steeply angled greens than the East Course, and it offers breathtaking views of both the mountains and Colorado Springs. The West Course plays tighter off the tee, with more heavily tree-lined holes than the East Course, and also gives players an array of spectacular approach shots.

Education opportunities for the children of injured workers

For some students, continuing their education after high school isn’t guaranteed. It’s not a lack of good grades that stops them from going to college or into vocational training — it’s a parent’s workplace injury.

That’s where the Pinnacol Foundation comes in. We created our scholarship program to ensure that the children of people seriously injured or killed on the job have the opportunity to pursue their education dreams. Since the Foundation’s launch in 2000, we’ve awarded nearly $5.5 million in scholarships to 550 students across Colorado.

Scholarships average $4,700 per student per year and may only be used for the costs of attending school at accredited colleges, universities, community colleges and vocational schools.

Making education a priority

Pursuing an education for injured workers' children can be a daunting and sometimes impossible goal. Our foundation makes this goal a reality.
